Steamed Spicy Pompano

I love sea food and Pompano is one of my favorite. I have had steamed fish only at restaurants and have always wanted to make some!! This is an Asian influenced, very simple steamed fish!! Ive tried this recipe with other fishes, but I like Pompano the best!!! It doesnt  get dry and is moist, soft and very tasty.

Ingredients

2 whole pompano
4 tbsps.  freshly grated ginger with the juice
half a cup of light soy sauce
2 tbs Grounded red chilli sauce
1 tsp. of sesame seed oil
toasted garlic
chopped cilantro

 Procedure

  • Make 3 diagonal incisions on the cleaned fish on both sides. Place the fish in heat proof plates.
  • Mix grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame seed oil and chilli sauce and pour over the fish. Reserve two tbs of the mixture for garnishing.
  • Steam the fish for about 30 minutes or until done.
  • Remove and garnish with the sauce, toasted garlic and chopped cilantro.
