Yummy Strawberries

Growing Strawberries......

Planting Strawberry Plants

  • Plant in the spring as soon as the soil is dry enough to be worked.
  • Plant them in full sun.
  • Add 1-2 inches of organic matter like compost

  • Make a hole large enough to spread the roots. Hill the center of the hole and place the crown at soil level. Spread the roots downward on the hill. Bury the plant so that the soil only goes halfway up the crown.
We had loads of strawberries on the plant but they didnt get to the kitchen and we found who stole our strawberries.... It was my lil 2 year old son .... he loves strawberries and once its red its in his tummy :) The kids love to grow strawberries and they love to water and take care of them. Have a fun day tomorrow will see you all in the blog world soon.

  1. Beautiful pics. My parents grew strawberries when I was small. Nice memory for your son :)

  2. There is a lot of information about growing strawberries, including a directory of where you can get plants to grow yourself at Strawberry Plants.org. You might find the article about the pineapple-tasting strawberry type interesting. It is here: Pineberry
