1 lb Chicken, cut into small pieces, bone-in
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp oil
1tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
3 Green Chillies slit
2 cups onions, chopped fine
2 cups tomatoes, chopped fine
Salt to taste
- Cut the chicken into small pieces. Marinate the chicken with the salt and turmeric powder and keep aside. Marinate it for about 30 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a large pan and add 1/4 tsp garam masala powder and saute for few secs. Don’t let the spices burn. Add the chopped onions and fry untill golden brown, now add the chopped tomatoes and saute until the oil oozes out.
- Add the chicken pieces and saute. Sprinkle some water on the chicken pieces while frying. Cook until the chicken is tender.
- Garnish with curry leaves. This can be an appetizer or a side dish for rasam and aromatic basmati rice.
